Grant County criminal records are divided among local courts, the sheriff, city police, the West Virginia State Police Criminal Identification Bureau, the state corrections system, and the West Virginia Sex Offender Registry. Why We Built This Site

West Virginia record access depends on the custodian. Grant County Magistrate Court keeps misdemeanor and early felony files, while the Circuit Clerk holds indicted felony cases. The sheriff and city police retain reports their own officers create. WVDCR runs jail and prison searches, and the West Virginia State Police Criminal Identification Bureau keeps fingerprint-linked repository history. The West Virginia Sex Offender Registry is a separate statutory system. We arrange the verified contacts, search tools, known costs, and request steps around those real divisions.
